Marta first came to Norway in 2008 on an Erasmus scheme. She also holds a Master of Social Science in Sociology from the University of Warsaw and a Master of Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway, where she majored in Industrial Ecology. After completion of her Masters in Trondheim, Marta has been working as a research fellow at the Western Norway Research Institute in Sogndal.
Marta has travelled extensively- studying and making friends from the 6 continents. From this, and her experiences in Norway, Marta became captivated by the people she met from all of the world. She was interested to learn peoples stories from many different cultures and backgrounds, with a main focus to learn about their experiences and their concerns of their day-to-day life.
Her education has accumulated to bring much to the table in organizing this conference to be a carbon neutral event. Marta, together with co-organizers, has the responsibility to calculate the carbon footprint of the conference, and to find sustainable solutions to make this event carbon neutral.
